The Dial & Symbolism
• Central Motif: The centerpiece is a golden crucifix of Jesus Christ sculpted in relief. Above the cross, the "INRI" inscription is visible.
• Textual Elements:
• "OMEGA AETERNA" (Eternal Omega) is displayed at the top.
• On the left, the Benedictine motto "ORA ET LABORA" (Pray and Work) appears alongside the word "AMEN" and a small cross.
• The bottom features the classic "SWISS MADE" hallmark.
• Time & Date Indicators:
• The hands are thin, metallic, and minimalist to avoid obscuring the sculpture.
• Three windows on the right display the Day (Sat), Date (28), and Month (Feb).
• Instead of traditional numbers, the hour markers consist of small relief plaques that appear to depict scenes from the Stations of the Cross or other biblical motifs.
